1. The agreement
By installing SplitRight ("the app") on a Shopify store you ("the merchant") agree to these terms and to the SplitRight privacy policy, which together form the agreement between you and Shreyas Labs ("we"). If you do not agree, uninstall the app.
2. What the app does
The app checks your Shopify orders against the rules you set and splits matching orders into separate orders in your store, carrying payments, discounts, shipping and taxes over to them. It then cancels the original order without a refund, so each sale is recorded once. You decide which rules run, on which sales channels and whether splitting is manual or automatic, and you remain responsible for your rules, for checking their results, and for fulfilling the orders.
3. Plans and billing
Plans and the splits each includes are shown in the app and on the Shopify App Store listing. Shopify bills them with your other Shopify charges, under Shopify's own billing terms. A split is one original order split successfully; orders checked and not split are not counted. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial. When a plan's splits for the month are used, new splits pause until the next month or until you upgrade; no order is lost. The app is free on development stores.
4. Data processing terms
- You are the controller of your customers' personal data; we process it only on your instructions, which are given by configuring and using the app.
- We read customers' names, addresses, emails and phone numbers only to copy them into the split orders in your store. We do not store them in our database or logs, and we never sell personal data or use it for marketing.
- We keep only what the privacy policy lists, for the periods it gives. We encrypt data in transit, keep the database on an encrypted disk, restrict and log access to customers' contact details, and delete your store's data after you uninstall.
- We assist with customer data-access and erasure requests through Shopify's privacy webhooks, and notify you within 72 hours of confirming a personal-data breach affecting your store.
- We will not engage further sub-processors for personal data without updating the privacy policy and notifying installed merchants.
5. Your responsibilities
Keep your Shopify account secure, and check new rules before relying on them (preview, manual splitting and development stores are provided for this). If an order management, warehouse or 3PL system imports your orders, set it to skip orders tagged split-pending, or to import only orders with the ready tag, so it does not ship an original that is being split. The app adds tags, holds and links to your orders to do its work; do not remove them by hand while a split is in progress.
6. Availability and liability
The app is provided as-is. We aim for continuous operation but do not guarantee it, and we are not liable for Shopify outages, for the actions of other apps or systems connected to your store, or for losses arising from rules you configure. Our total liability under this agreement is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the preceding three months.
7. Termination
You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app. Orders already split stay in your store. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse or non-payment with reasonable notice. On termination we delete your store's data as described in the privacy policy.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified to installed merchants by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept them.
